HARROW

HARROW

Prepared ground for land, software, capital and private wealth.

Engraved print of harrowed furrows running to the horizon, where they turn into circuit traces and a rising growth curve.
Plate IPrepared ground, and what grows from it.
Why the name

After the plow, before the seed.

A harrow is the tool that turns rough ground into ground that's ready for anything. It breaks up clods, levels what's uneven, and leaves a seedbed where whatever you plant has its best chance.

Harrow works the same way. The patient preparation comes first, so every field it opens starts in good soil. Land, technology, finance and private wealth are different crops, but they reward the same habits: long horizons, careful stewardship, and doing the groundwork before anyone is watching.

This site is where that work gets written down.

harrow (n.)
A frame of spikes, tines or discs drawn over ploughed land to break up and level the soil.
tilth (n.)
The condition of tilled soil. Good tilth is crumbly, airy, and ready to plant.
What Harrow is built for

Five fields

One piece of prepared ground, and several things worth growing on it. Each field gets planted when the timing is right.

The journal

Tilth

Notes from the groundwork. Entries are numbered in the order they're written, and they follow whichever field is being worked at the time.
